4 th EDITION OF THE BUTTON.
On February 15 began the process of registration for the competition offered by Mango " Button" which aims to promote and enhance the international profile of the new fashion talent with the goal that these young designers have access to a media platform and the opportunity to market their collections.
The jury of this contest will select the 10 finalists selected from 50 contestants will handle no more and no less than 5 of the most renowned schools of Europe: Centrai Saint Martins (London), ESDI ( Barcelona), Institut Français de la Mode (Paris), Marangoni Institute (Milan-Paris-London) and Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Antwerpen (Royal Academy of Antwerp ) also act as co-organizers.
The winner of the contest will receive a prize valued at 300,000 euros and the 10 finalists can have the opportunity to manufacture and sell their collections through the Mango stores.
So designers prepare their sketchbooks and design !!!!!
CALENDAR
February 2011: Launch of the fourth edition of the MANGO Fashion Awards
February 15, 2011 - July 31, 2011: contest entry period.
September 30, 2011: selection of 50 finalists by the MANGO Committee.
October 15, 2011: selection of 10 finalists by the first jury and delivery of 18,000 € each.
March 2012 (tbc): Awards Ceremony and Presentation of pre-selected collections.
